1 - Upload your picture to a 3rd party hosting provider like (links included):
Imgur
ImageShack
Smugmug
Flickr
500px
Postimage
Tinypic
Imgup
Etc. The first ones of the above require registration, the last ones don't.
2 - Copy the direct URL to the image you want to add to your post.
3 - Create a new Post or Reply.
4 - Click the Insert Image button (or video), paste the direct link and click OK.
Your Post will have the image URL added to it and will look like:

In some cases the direct URL already has < img... >< / img > and you can just paste it right into the post

HOW to use IMGUR so your pictures are not full size
When you select a picture in IMGUR, on the right there is a menu on the right that lets you select how to display the picture.
You can also just change the link to the picture by adding a letter at the end of the image name.
Example: if your image URL is ht tps://i.imgur.com/ 78947u432.jpg, you add the l to the image name: ht tps://i.imgur.com/ 78947u432l.jpg
Here are some dimensions and letters to choose from:
s = Small Square (90×90)
b = Big Square (160×160)
t = Small Thumbnail (160×160)
m = Medium Thumbnail (320×320)
l = Large Thumbnail (640×640)
h = Huge Thumbnail (1024×1024)
