Netfirms Server is Pooched Again!

Sorry guy... there's only so much I can do with a phone call and an e-mail.

Once again, my PHP based forum is down. This is EXTREMELY unacceptable. If this issue is not resolved as soon as possible, I'm finding myself a new host and I'm getting the remaining balance of money on my account there at Netfirms, refunded.

This is like my 7th e-mail and who knows phone call. I'm sick of these losers. I honestly hope they go out of business.

Yes, they suck, I definately won't argue with that, but you'll be screwed for hosting if they go out of business. Sure you can get a new host... but for the same price?, how much downtime will there be?, etc.

I'd see if you can get a backup of the forums postings. If it's all stored in MySQL and you have a phpMyAdmin (or similar) access to it, I'd do a dump of all the tables so you can rebuild it in another environment if necessary.

Kris (I think) is going to help me rebuild the server. Bart did a lousy job at installing the software, etc.

So you are the CSR that I have been told to contact with my poor customer satisfaction complaints!? Well Sandra, after getting off the phone with “Todd” – I want to get out of this disaster of a web service before you guys topple over and declare bankruptcy.

I would like the remainder of my web contract (that I have paid for) to be credited to my credit card that you have on file. This is extremely unacceptable behavior coming from a “professional Canadian company”. In turn, I have no other choice then to find a different web host provider.

Please be assured that I will not recommend your company to others and if asked, I will speak negatively towards your once good name; Netfirms.com.

I set this up as the start page when visiting the site. Many others may have done this as well. Just a thought
