so i was headed to BC for the night, cruising just past sunshine turn off going west bound on highway1
i heard a creek, and then another one. thought nothing of it.....
heard a creek then a BAMMMMMM!( metal contact)
i pull over as fast as i can, and i find that all 5 wheel studs have snapped off......
the brake is the only part touching my wheels.
they have been on the car since i did my coilovers, and i personally tq'd them to 90 ft lbs.( 2 months ago)
i have been on the track, and to the mountains.
could one have loosened off over time? and caused some chain reaction???
anyways i towed the car to a shop in banff recommended by a local friend, and got a ride home with another friend.
btw i removed the front bumper, so to get clearance on the flatbed.
oh! and the sideskirt, to get a jack under the car to put wood under the rotor
the wheels only got scratched in the inside dish.
they did not bounce off because the car was so low the fender held it in.
the only damage was a slightly bent fender.
has anyone heard of all 5 wheel studs snapping at once????????????
