  • Wheel Spacers and Winter

Question for the "tire guys" on the forum:

I've been finding conflicting information regarding wheel spacers and winter driving. Some say leave them on while others say take them off.

Anyhow, was just wondering what most people do for their spaced out cars in winter? I'm guessing most remove them and put them back on every Spring but just thought I'd post up anyways to see if there are any differing opinions.

    Thanks in advance. Cheers...

If your winters are steel, I wouldn't run spacers unless they are hub centric both ends......

If your winters are alloys then giddy up

One other thing to consider is how much road grime you want to throw up the side of your car. The further in the wheels are, the more spray is contained in the wheel wells.

I hear ya. Seems to me that for the sake of not pitting the crap out of the rear quarters... it might be best to just remove them for winter.

Either that or go Subi-styles... NOT.
