The shipping was done via DB Schenker (DBS) USA - Frieght.
The processing was uber easy.
Much like anyone buying goods from anywhere that requires shipping, I was tracking my shipment pretty much everyday.
As soon as I noticed that my shipment touched down in Calgary, I called DBS Calgary Airport & arranged a pick-up time.
I went to pick up some documents that needed Customs Clearing from DBS Calgary Airport - 2100 78 Avenue N.E. Door #50.
I took the documents to Canada Border Services Agency - 2588 27 Street N.E.
I got the documents cleared by Customs & only paid for the GST.
I went back to DBS Calgary Airport & showed them the documents.
VOILA!







This is the best way to save money & trouble, also avoid ridiculous costs that UPS, etc. charges.
I didn't have to pay Broker Fees, Delivery Charges, & extra Taxes.

To sum up...
Make sure to consider Kevin @ ModBargains in your next purchase of modifications.
You will be well taken good care of.

Depending on how much you payed for "shipping" with the freight company you used, you may or may not get a $100-300 brokerage fee in a few months. If you or the shipper didn't use a brokerage company like UPS or M&C Int, etc, they will charge you directly when they process the paper work.......If you payed more then $200 for shipping you may be safe, if not, expect a bill.

note: clearing customs and having a brokerage company "handle" it are two totally different processes.

I only paid $160.xx for shipping.
I was also told that there are no other fees that I need to pay other than the bill I paid over @ the Canada Border Service Agency.

Sorry to say but I think you might be wrong.
You must have gotten shafted so many times that you got used to paying extra / hidden fees.

I remember when I bought my M-Technik II Aerodynamic Kit from Tischer BMW.
It was delivered via freight.
I got a call from the Customs / Border asking for my broker prior to clearing my shipment.
I got that all handled within an hour or two.
That is only when they cleared my package.

Much like this case.
My wheels wouldn't be cleared if all the necessary documents weren't taken care of.
I know this person that bought a set of wheels from ModBargains & delivered via DB Schenker USA to Toronto.
All he had to pay were the taxes. He had to pay more than me only because I think Toronto has 2 taxes.
