18'' rims?

Hey Bob, my brother just bought a 1990 Lincoln Continental.
We are shopping around for some rims that will fit on it.
Would you know if 18'' rims would work, Im not to sure if anything much bigger would fit properly. He's looking for something in chrome.

The white walls look pimpin!
Spinners look odd on a lincoln, especially that one. Wouldnt look bad on a Navigator or something.
