Serial programming coming to an EU Tuner near you!!

This will allow much easier upgrades/downgrades for people.. Removal of ECUs will be necessary in some cases still but the majority of cars will be able to be tuned through the serial port. PD engines that required a 24 hour visit can now be done with 2 separate 15 min visits. No more problems with Audi (and new VW) security bolts. Smart cars with their crammed in ECUs will not need quite such invasive surgery to tune. On site tuning will be possible. Trials at meets can be arranged...

We are hoping to have this system up and running by the start of summer

is this still in the works? my dad will likely come in from BC and get his PD chipped if he no longer has to leave the car overnight.

              Re: OBD Tuning

It is on it's way from the states. I will still have to send the file off for tuning though on the PDs. It's just that your car will be usable between reading and writing.

                      Re: OBD Tuning

Good news.. I have the system here. First car (Porsche 996) had an incompatibale ECU so I had to do the usual soldering method but I am looking forward to using it on some others.
