    Two Thumbs Up for TuneDub!

    Last week my GTI started burning oil, no visible leaks so I start getting freaked out that it's a turbo problem or something. Also my downpipe had an exhaust leak and I've had a rough idle since I've owned the car.
    I give TuneDub a call last Wednesday and scheduled in for this wednesday(yesterday) however I had to drop off my car a day early because my summers were already on and there was snow in forecast so I drove it over while the roads were still dry.
    Not only did George have every single problem (leaky cam tensioner seal, new mass air flow meter, new sparkplugs and a missing downpipe stud) diagnosed by 11am Tuesday morning (a day early) he had it all fixed up and good to go by 11am Wednesday morning!
    Car is running like a dream and wasn't too hard on my wallet!

      All of those items aren't that difficult to get done yourself DIY style. Do a bit of reading up on them and they are very straight forward. You can also ask for help on here for any problems you are having

        Only place i will take my cars to, George is the best. I had to get a tie rod done on my winter beater, and really didn't feel like doing it. I told him i didn't want an alignment since it's just a winter beater and he said he'd get it as close as he could by eyeballing. Sure enough it was almost perfect when i drove away.

          It basically comes down to pure laziness on my part. I do some of my own work but it was all wet and cold and I pulled it into the garage to start trying to find the problems I was having and then I was like.. Naaahhh

          Kind of like some of the guys on here that can build an engine from scratch and stuff like that but wouldn't touch body work with a 10ft pole. Just I'm the opposite, being a body guy it wouldn't make sense for me to pay someone to do something I know how to do.

                Nah...I got Evan's back on this one...I have absolutely ZERO interest in learning bodywork and paint...but I'll jump in to turn wrenches anyday.

                    I just finally got a response from CAA...not the most plesant conversation. Called Ken so he could get ahold of Serge at CAA, head DORK, and go from there. I'm back and forth to GP so hopefully in April/May.

                      Insurance guys I swear... Ugh. Dang, I'm off to school starting April 22nd and finished May 16th. Hopefully I'm around when you finally get your car in!
