    they say it was imported from japan, everything looks soo nice

    got it down to 5,500

    $5500 from Japan seems expensive... talk to some of the importers to see what they would cost to do yourself.

        it comes down to what it's worth to you...like Kris said, if it really is "mint" then it's probably worth it .

            all the euros in japan are lhd. in japan you could buy both rhd or lhd of the same car verry often

              Consider your plans for the car. If you know you will be doing some extensive mechanical or body work, maybe you don't need something in that good of shape as a start, which could save you a couple grand up front. Or, you may be able to find a similar car with higher km that already has some work started for the same $5500 (remember people usually lose money on mods which you could take advantage of as a buyer).
              If your goal is to have a turn-key stock mkII, this one certainly looks to be in fantastic shape and the price seems fair.
              As a reference, I bought my golf for $5500 from vancouver a few months ago. High km, but it had alot of work already done to it that I was planning with a project mkII gti.
