]Done this awhile ago for my mate, its a lovely e60 520 D
When it came in
Being Black it was covered in Tar which was hard to see along with lots of flies and road grime[/B]
So rotten enough and it was swirled to bits id say its was thru a machine wash weekly,
So it was washed (2 bucket method) De-tarred washed again and then onto the Claying.....
This was the Clay of choice, Dodo juice Super natural and Born Slippy Lube
It was Pretty bad all over
After that it was washed again to remove clay residue and dried with a Large plush microfiber drying towel,
Then into the Garage for a look under the Lights....
ooooh Noooo........ Swirled very badly black BMW Paint, (at this point i knew my arms were going to be sore that night)
More Swirls
After 2 passes with a Hexlogic Heavy Cut Pad and Menzerna heavy cut polish,
Some 50/50 shots on the Bonnet
So the correction was going Great and only slight micro marring was left form the heavey cut polishes and pads, so i then moved onto a medium cut pad and menzena final finish 2, this removed the rest of the small marks in the paint,
Finished off with Final finish and a Black hexlogic finishing pad,
now for the important bit LSP
or Last stage protection, since this guy was a "perfectionist" he had a Concurs winning 94' Escort cosworth which he just sold, i used some top Wax on this car
Wax of Choice, Swissvax Onyx (Brilliant Stuff)
Finished Pic's
I was happy with the results i got a near perfect finish on this car and brought its dull paint back to life!
Some Nice reflection shots
Rear Quarter
Rear Passenger Door
2 days Hard graft and she was new again,
-Wheels Treated with autosmart wheel cleaner, and sealed with Jetseal 109
-Tyres dressed with Meguires Tyre Gel
-Trim treated with Black Wow
-All Door shuts, boot and bonnet gaps cleaned with Autosmart APC and polished
-headlamps and Tail lamps polished with megs Plastx
Thanks for looking
