  • Wiper Blades

I bought replacement wiper inserts last year, and I'm sure they were under 20 for the pair, which is bad, but OEM, no new arms, ok.

So I have a week ski trip coming up and go to 5th Ave to pick them up. 28+ bucks - I was stunned I don't even remember the exact number. I ask - are you sure, perhaps you entered 10 in the quantity? No, each are 13+ bucks. And you have to cut them to length, deal with the stupid install wires, etc yourself.

Screw that - I call Northland, 9 bucks each for the exact same thing. But I'm not driving to the NW and am leaving tomorrow.

Stop at Partsource, got a pair of those new Inovision blades. 21 for drivers (25 bucks), none listed for pass. Try a 19 since that's the size for all the other blades. Doesn't clear the hook arm, relace for a normal bosche arm/blade (12 bucks).

So for a few bucks more than two uncut rubber inserts from 5th, I got 1 21 inch inovision blade, and a bosche true fit blade. Install was 5 seconds in the parking lot.

And you really expect us to recommend buying a friggin BATTERY or TIRES from a dealer that overcharges by that much? In-sane.

Had the same thing with the Canadian Tire Reflex blades. They list 21" drivers and no passenger so I got a 19" as well. The catch on the 19" is in a different spot than the 21 so it won't catch on the arm. I went back to Canadian Tire and took the hook off a 21".

They work great, but the bottom edge of the plastic vibrated on the glass until I ground it back a bit.

I have since read that the 20 will fit on the passenger side - I'll grab one next time. The bosche replacement seems fine.

You can fit 21's on both sides.
I run the cheapest ones available from canadian tire, they work just fine.

I have always found the Canadian Tire ones don't last more than 1 season no matter which one I buy...
