A friend of mine with a turbo jetta had his battery in the trunk and didn't want a ugly switch on his car. So he installed the switch in the trunk and pulled his taillight out when he went to the track. He never had any issues with tech.

Timing looks right!! you notice how the notch is off to one side of the tooth, That notch on the VC is on the proper side of the notched tooth on the cam gear! rotate the crank 2 times and make sure everything is still inline! the bit that the notches is out is due to the headgasket(s) and tensioner! As for the kill switch leave it in the trunk just make sure it is easily accesable from the rear when you remove a taillight! IE make a mounting plate for the switch inside the trunk directly on the backside of the taillight and when you go to the track remove the tail light! This should be aceeptable by the track officials and staff! CheersCurrent toys
