  • Whom to trust at SCFC service?

I'm taking my 2006 jetta wagon TDI for 16000 km service to SCFC on dec 12.

When I put my winter tires on, a few weeks ago, I discovered that there is a small oil leak. I could see it when i took passanger tire off on the back side of the engine . Not much but it was wet. Checked the oil level and had to add aroun 750ml. I cheked oil level not long before this and it was good, so there is a leak.

Not long after that my low coolant level light came on. Had to add 1/2 liter of coolant. No visable leaks .

I also did some reading at TDI forums and think that I have some ERG cooler isues.

So anyway just want to now who to trust to look after this problem. You know I do not want them to do engine shampoo and tell me it is all good. By the way I acually had that done before on my van, it had a bad head gasket and all they did was the shampoo.

i've had my fair share of problems there too. the leather on my steering wheel was scrathed, and my radio got a crack down the side of it. then i started asking for dave and i haven't had a problem ever since. personally i deal with alice, jeremy, and dave and i haven't had any problems in over 2 years

I think the reason people take their work to Dave is because he is honest about the work that was done. Really with cars now a days it is really hard to find ever little problem without taking ages to repair it. Believe me I work in electronic repairs and it is even harder then troubleshooting a car sometimes. From everything I have heard though if you tell SCFC exactly what you would like to see they will try to make it happen, plus since you are still under warranty you should be golden either way.

My friend... There are 50 or more people who work with or for SCFC. If your going to rant, make sure you talk about the people who you delt with not SCFC as a whole. The tech number and advisor number are on your receipt. Who knows, the people in question may not be working there anymore. I'm sure if you were nicer instead of being a jerk this wouldn't have happened the way it did. Also, it doesn't matter where you get warranty work done. If you get some work done in Calgary, and you drive out to Edmonton and the item you just got fixed craps out, they have to fix it in edmonton if it's a warranty item(if there are parts involved). Doesn't matter what dealership you had the work done.

you guys dont know me personally and i dont know you. So dont jump to conclusions saying that im an ******* and this and that. For all i know you guys maybe assholes as well and fit right in with the assholes at SCFC.

Now how does that make you feel? Dont be a retard and jump to conclusions, i told you guys the partial story for a reason.

I would of loved to see you(GTX) in my situation. Dont be quick to judge kid.

Volkstech, my car had 120K km on it when it was taken in so i did not have ordinary warrenty that they give you when u first buy the car. My sis got the window regulator changed at SCFC and that is the reason i went back there because i figured it would be much easier to deal with em then take the car to 5th ave or northland. After it all went down i called 5th ave and i tried to get em to look at the problem there but they said it can only be done at SCFC cause they are the ones who did the job in the first place.

Re: Whom to trust at SCFC service?

If SCFC put a new regulator in your car and you paid for it, it is covered for one year or twenty thousand km no matter what dealer you take it. If something is rattling in the door it may be the regulator itself. 5th should have looked at it. If no other dealership wants to help you out, don't you think it might be your attitude?

Anyways, I'm done here. Mods please close this thread.

Did i say that no other dealership wanted to help me out?

I called em and told em i need them to look at the door which got a new window regulator installed at SCFC, they said that if they did the work they would need to warrenty it there. This is what i was told by the lady at 5th ave. I said "okay sign me up for an oil change only" thats that.

I love how ur saying its my attitude when u dont even know me, id love to meet u one day at a eurodrivers meet and we will see what u will say then.
