There are a few in Canada, I believe Quebec allows wrecked ones to come in and be rebuilt, but I don't think you can take them out of the province. There is also the HPA Twin Turbo R32 car here in town that we are not quite sure how it is here but in general you cannot have one here. With money and creativity I am sure it could be done but could have issues with insurance down the road.

There are a dozen or so that have been brought up through Quebec as salvaged cars and then repaired. In Quebec you can register the car with a rebuilt status. I believe that is the only loophole.
There is also an HPA twin turbo R32 in town, but the owner has a residence in the US as well, so it's not registered here.
Other than that, there is a beautiful R28 (400+hp) in town owned by one of our members. It's for sale, too.
If you're interested in getting an R32, you could buy one of the Quebec salvaged / repaired cars for anywhere between $29K - $40K, but I wouldn't recommend it.
They where not crash tested here therefor not sold here therefor not insurable.

His: '04 TDI Golf Mods: None If it's smoken it ain't broken
Family: '15 Jetta Sportwagon
Fun car: '92 Blue Karmann Crabby Cabby Mods: Coils, front and rear swaybars, LED interior lights and some other old things.
The Audi TT didn't pass IIRC and special modifications has to be made, I imagine they did not think it was worth the extra effort (they probably knew it would fail)

Yeah the audi TT"s front and rear bumpers have an extra 2" of bumper added. Looks horrid when compared to US or euro versions.
Don't hold your breath. It is rumored to cost about $5 million to certify a car such as this for the Canadian market and when we would probably only get 200-500 of them thats an additional 10,000 - 25,000 cost per car so just not going to happen :( :(
