I finally got my new sony deck installed last night
I got it done professionaly... Bad move on my part
It looks great and works great but they didnt take my 6CD changer out of the trunk. Partially my fault to
I tried to take it out today but it didnt work.
Is there anything I could do to remove the magazine clip from it?

      Re: New Deck

I tried to get the magazine out, because I left 2 of my CDs in there before I took it out. Never did figure out a way.
I'd like to make a statment!

I'm guessing you can eject it if the stock decks hooked up?? If so, I've got a stock deck with a phatbox, I could pop it out and plug yours in to try if you think that'd work (or are we gonna run into a 'cords too short' problem??)

          Re: New Deck

You will have to pop your old deck back in, extremly easy in Mk4s anyways so it shouldnt be a problem. I had the same thing happen to me, I was suprised to find out you couldnt simply run power to the disc changer, so yes you will have to pop the stock back in if you want your disc's out.
When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.

                Hmmm
Seen as how I couldnt make it to the meet it would be rally handy if someone could lend me some detail as to how to do it myself...
Also a buddy of mine wants my stock deck except he doesnt have a volkswagen. He has a chevy truck. Would my stock deck work?
