  • 2004 VW Golf radio function

I keep getting different answers from my dealership. Before I go and pick up my car could someone please confirm the last explanation they gave me? Once you take your key out of the ignition, then turn your radio back on, should the radio go off when you open your car door? My dealership says, no there's a 30 minute timer on when the radio goes off, regardless of whether the door is open or not. Anyone?

i'm going on memory, cause i now have aftermarket stereo, but i'm pretty sure if you turn it on after the car is off, it stays on regardless of doors.
