  • 1999 Honda Accord V6 3.0 Vtec Auto vs 2003 1.8t Tiptronic

My friend just bought a 1999 Honda Accord 3.0 VTEC V6. He wanted to do some racing so I said sure. I asked what he was pushing and he said 200HP @ 5500 RPM 195lb-tq.@4700 RPM. So I said hmmm should be a decent match up. We raced going up a hill right past edgemont club(WHC) ... I beat him twice, once uphill and straightaway, but by only a car length and then going downhill he beat me by a car length but I started catching up around 140km/h .... we had to stop though cause cops are always around edgemont. Going speeds over 160km/h with just the sport suspension doesnt feel good... OMG... Im in desperate need of a new suspension.

His car was keeping up pretty good. I would say almost the same.

I only have upsolute and a k&n air filter.... I thought I would've won by a little larger margin. Maybe I need a more aggresive version of upsolute... if there are any for the tiptronic version.

    * Note * Dealer might of re-flashed my ECU, so this could be the problemo. No way to tell until I find out what my boost is.

I would guess that the Accord has more HP even with your chip, but you should have more torque...
