  • Grinding when turning

I just noticed last night that there seems to be some grinding just behind my steering wheel when I'm turning either way. At first I thought it was just my tires rubbing against the ice build up in the wheel well. It's not crazy loud or sounding like metal on metal but like there's some sand in there or something. Any ideas?

    Re: Grinding when turning

There is a slip ring / horn ring behind your steering wheel. It's probably given up the go. If you have airbags then the fix is expensive. If you don't it will be cheap and most likely can be done by you.
