  • This is a Sirius Question...

For all you car stereo gurus out there...does a Sirius radio antenna HAVE to be mounted outside the cabin, or can it serve the same purpose/get the same reception say, in the dash? I know that OEM Nav antennas can be mounted inside the dash, so it only goes to reason that a Sirius antenna can be as well. Except if they're weaker...
Anybody with an answer, let me know!

I have mounted my XM antenna in on the dash of both my vehicles without any problems. I notice a slight drop in reception vs being mounted on the roof, but not much.
