  • Problem

I have a 2000 Jetta 1.8t with around 107000 kms. When i accelerate in any gear my revs go to around 3000. When they reach 3000 they rush quickly to 4000 and then down to 3500. After that they continue accelerating normally.

I ahve no idea what this is. I hope its not to serious. . . help

              Re: Problem

Advised to get a vr6 clutch/autotech flywheel - concept1 can do it all including install for around 1K, or talk to Dave (volkstech). I believe cost of doing it at the dealer is close to 2K, but maybe they have adjusted. You can call for a quote. Still get it checked out in case it just needs to be adjusted, but sounds like it's done.

                  Re: Problem

I just did this to my TDI. About $400 for clutch and lightened flywheel out of Texas. Delivery was included. To put it in in Lethbridge was I think about $380. Not pulling out the bills right now to check on that. THere is a post a few weeks back of this.
