I was thinking about getting either OZ Crono Evoltions 17", Konig Holes 18" or the Inxx type D 18"

I really like the Inxx's but its $450 a rim :donking:

OZ Superleggas in race silver are very nice and decently priced.. Try to put some euro wheels on your dub though man.. the OZ chronos are nice but i hate multi drilled wheels... btw 450/rim is childs play man.. volinders brocks were like 600 and when I get mine sad to say i'll be a big idiot and pay like 1000+/rim for some sweet 18 or 19" 3pieces forged coming in at like 19lbs/wheel or i'll be a cheapo and go with the OZ Sls in race silver 18x8.. its all good man..

are 17's safe for winter though? I think they are too wide and not enough rubber for when (or if at all) we get snow.. i think i'm gonna rock some hot ass 15" steelies and winter tires for the winter unless OEM 15's are cheap

I had my 17" Monte Carlos on through two winters mounted on 225/45 Michelin Pilot Alpins and had loads of traction. Sure with wider tires there's always the risk of gliding over snow, but I never had any problems. I think it all comes down to how good your tires are. I'm thoroughly impressed with the way the Alpins handled ice/snow/slush/etc and would recommend them to anybody.

My dad had the same tire (225/45/17) when he had his E430 and the thing was super solid in crappy conditions as well. Which is pretty good considering it was rwd and 275hp.

i dont think you should get the oz chrono's, especially not in 17". they're a wheel that looks smaller than it actually is, the 18" chrono looks like a 17". try to get something with some deep dish.. dish + VW = perfect harmony.

Yeah, I've noticed that they look a bit smallish too.. but since they are going to be my winter rims, I'm not too bothered. I just love the way they look. I think Rage from Beyond has 17" Cronos on his SLK and I think they look not so bad in that size. I guess I'll see what's out there... winter is far off thankfully. :urspecial

haha yah definately get 17" chronos chris, they're a hot wheel, and for winter.. you're just that much more of a pimp now.

i was thinking if it was a summer wheel, i dont think it'd work.
