Noisy on Start Up?

Does anyone have an explanation for the noisiness of a 1.8t on initial startup? It sounds like it's exhausting straight out of a manifold...when the rev's kick down, though, it cuts back to a nice, silent, pur. It's always done this, so I always figured it's normal...

It's your variable cam chain tensioner. no fix for it yet. Ask silverfire.
