  • MKII Jetta Question

I'm looking at purchasing a 92 MKII Jetta with a 1.8L engine. The car has 175k kms on it and when I test drove it, I noticed that the car idle's at very high rpms. I'm talking above 1500 and it doesn't drop down once the car is warmed up. I am thinking this is probably due to a valve that is malfunctioning or could it be anything else?

George is taking a look at the car. Anything else I should be looking out for or getting checking out before I make the purchase? Would love to hear from MKII owners about this.

    Any input is appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Re: MKII Jetta Question

Most likely the idle stabilizer valve is dirty and sticking or it's faulty. Seen it a billion times.
