    There are also very specific date ranges for recalls/TSBs. You might have the same year as the hazzard switch issue, but on yours it might not be an issue (rolling assembly line changes).

    I will dig the letter out of my files and scan it so anyone else who has the affected years can use it.

          Ah crap - the two letters I have are for coils and seat heaters, with VW compensation forms to get money back if paid. I'm sure I've seen the 7 year for window regs but it must have been someone elses scan. The letters are all the same format though. Sorry!

            Khron is completely correct. VW will only cover it if your vehicle is still under warranty otherwise the dealer covers 2/3 and VW only pays for a 3rd. That's why if your not loyal to one dealer, it's tough to get done.
