So last night i took my 2002 GTI 1.8T down the 1/4 mile at race city last night. Once i learned how to launch it properly i was doing 15.1 @ 92 mph. IS that alright for a stock GTI?

Re: 1/4 mile times!
Humm im not really sure what i launch at. Must of been some where around 3. Then feathering the throttle to keep from over spinning. I did have alot of wheel hop tho but it was better then spinning way to much like i did the first few runs.sigpic

Re: 1/4 mile times!
my times sucked so bad the other night the best i had was a 16.5@86 or something, i think the 18's were slowing me down quite a bit though, i had a better time with my 15's and a crappy clutch my very first time going there, and now i have a lightened flywheel and a new clutch.Justin
