I have the cruise light and I hate it. If it was active only when cruise is running, it might make sense, but it's the same as my 84 toyota - you switch it on to activate the whole system, then you can use the set/resume buttons. Very old tech.
So if there's a vagcom way to shut it off forever, I'd be grateful. Not going to rip out the cluster just for it though (unless I'm doing stereo or something).
