Hey was just wondering if anyone had experience with a v1? or any other high end radar detector?

Also would you recommend getting the V1, decent amount of highway driving and also a lot of city driving.

Peter used to have one, not sure if he even thinks about this board anymore...

It seemed okay, I have read that the Escort models do as well or better on the highway and they cost less.

I have had a V1 for over 5 years now, best radar there is. Radar is pretty useless in the city since all the cops use Laser, and only real way to beat that is Laser jammer. V1 is indispensible on the highway though

hands down the best detector on the market. pay to play.
put the escort and the V1 on the windshield of my truck for a day, the V1 picks things up a good 2-3 seconds earlier with dead on hits. Where it shines is tricky ones where the cop is driving the same direction as you with his front facing radar on, you only get the bounces off the signs and oncoming cars, the V1 is far more sensitive and picks it up. Cresting hills it also out performs everything else.

Not to mention whats the point of a detector without arrows?

im aware that its hard to have a good radar in the city, but for like parked photo radar and that stuff would it work pretty well?

Also if theres a bit of traffic and cops doing laser would it go off? (in city though)

                    PHOTO RADAR???

Come on, you don't need a $500 radar detector to tell you not to speed by Chrysler Minivans pulled on to the side of Glenmore Trail

laser you will get sometimes, not enough to count on it going off. It will chirp fo rphoto, but not with a lot of notice.. just look out for vans and pickups on the side of the road.....
