  • boom!

so, been driving the new gti for about a week now and man not having bass has become an issue... but the car is getting customer box built today and intalled with:

infiniti 12" 1400 peak "kappa series" sub
1000 watt mone pioneer d-class amp.

in a few weeks im installing:

pioneer double dinn 6 disc in dash touch screen dvd with engine manegment systems, gps, bluetooth.... the works

oh and for everyone that may not know there is a mod to convert the oem alrm system to shock sensor capable... which means you dont need 2 remotes or an aftermarkt alarm. sweeet.

    gonna boom tonight.

    Re: boom!

get an oem nav, it will look much nicer

the mk4's have that alarm capability as well as motion sensors in the dome lights... but thats euro options.

      Re: boom!

the oem nav is sweet, but for the money the dvd is way more bang for the buck.

        Re: boom!

Can you guys give me info on how to get the shock and motion sensor with the factory alarm with an mk4?
When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.

            I found this. http://www.swankmonkey.com/vw/gti/2000/motion_sensor/

I am still researching.. Shouldn't be hard to figure it out for the MK5.

Thanks Dave I forgot to go through my favorites and pull that out a couple days ago I even have the shock sensor (thinking about a glass one too) but haven't installed it yet. Really I think a shock is useless and will more then likely just be a pain in the arse but now a glass sensor has saved my ride in the past.
