Yea we had a falling out back in February. Didnt want to go....but thats how it works sometimes.

Yea I found that out pretty quick, the saying around here is that Fifth does a good job training salespeople to come work here LOL Anyway, the sticker on that GTI is $35,410 plus GST. Im almost certain it will sell before Satuday, I figured I would let all the club people know just in case, I had this car on order fomr a guy then he tubed the deal a month before it got here (said he was tierd of waiting)

Thanks, I am actually helping shop for a new Econo car for my Mother-inlaw and she likes an Optra 5 but thinking this maybe a good option for her, but not sure if she can wait.

Taking this further off topic...What is the city Golf exactly? is this the left over MK4's, I think there was some discussion about this on vortex a while back, I heard that there was going to be a "product announcement" from VW coming in August, perhaps this is what they were referring to.

Oh and are they any Rabbits at NL?

Well actually the more I think about it, and look at the econo car market the more I see it as a good move.

You take an older product that was of a higher level than a Kia or Hyundai, which are good sellers in Canada and you go in direct competition with them. The Golf Gity would be larger than other cars in the same price range and hopefully better equipped and optioned. Thus you have an older but superior car priced against the small asian brands, and since the platform is older VW can build them at lower costs. The only drawback I see is it lowers the value of other MK4s, but options and age should balance this out.

My thoughts anyways assuming they are priced around 14K too.

Oh, i think the city is a good idea..its not like the mkIV body style is out-dated or anything.

I understand Nismo's frustration tho because the resale on mkiv's will probably take an even bigger hit with a flood of this hitting the market
