falken fk-451, good tire?

im choosing tires to buy and these ones sound good, y speed rating, looks nice, and has the little curb rash protector thing. 225/40/18 is $210 a piece.

i was wondering if anyone has had these tires before and whats your thought on them. thanks.

Depends on what you want them for. They are racing tires, so the Falken 615s for a few bucks more, or the kumo MXs would be better. But they have gotten good reviews (I was looking at them last year).

i just want the tires for summer, just use them on the street.

I had them on my Corrado a few years ago. The were very sticky and worked extremely well in both the wet and dry, but wore very quickly. You'd probably be looking at about 20-30,000km max life out of them.

Thats long for a ultra summer - I'm expecting mine to be gone in less than 20K. You should look at the Falken 512 ZIEX, pretty good perf and last a lot longer.

well i ended up ordering my 18" kyalamis with nexen n3000's today, i couldnt afford pricier tires haha.
