  • Where do I go next?

OK, so my car ('01 Golf GLS 1.8t) ran stock for about six years. In the last couple of months I've done the chip (Up'd), wheels (18" on Pilot Sports), and suspension (Koni Sport Kit with the yellow adjustable shocks).

I'm now saving for my next "adjustments" and have the following thoughts:

    - headlights (Hella Celis to eventially go towards HIDs, or 20th AE E-codes)
    - front & rear valences (I really like the look of the 20th...) with the hatch spoiler
    - short shifter?
    - some other engine related stuff (N75?, DV?, downtube (what's it do?))
    - seats (need some form of bolster, but don't want to lose the airbags or heat)

It's my dd, so I don't want to create a maintenance nightmare. I don't want "loud" in either the physical or metaphorical sense of the word.

If you were me.....what would you do next?
    Jeff

Well.... out of the stuff you got listed there Jeff.. I would say short shifter. I find the shifts to be waaaay to long on our cars. Its not that much investment for somthing you will love every time you shift.

mmm.. i agree on the short shifter, even though i've never driven an mk4, but even on my mk3 the shifts are long.. or the seats.. gotta be able to ride in comfort and style. something that holds you nicely but still looks good and has all the function you want.
