I recently had my cars (2002 Jetta TDI) ECU done with the UPSOLUTE program (TY SIMON). I also have PP 520s nozzles. I have a boost gauge and today put in the BOOSTVALVE. I am smokin really bad. James Bond smoke screen bad. Can anyone who knows lots about this issue let me know if this is normal. Am I going to have to put larger intercooler in? Am I going to have to find someone who has VAG-COM and turn down the injection amount? I have read various stories about this and only want to hear from those who know. Plus what is max boost I should be setting the boostvalve at? Should I be using the stiffer spring that came with the boostvalve cause I have set the valve at max and min with no change. I know some one on here has close to the same set up as I but his injectors are smaller. Any info on this would be great.
My boost gauge reads 22psi when I floor it. Sometimes it spikes up to 24psi. Other then that it reads 0psi. Not a typo. It really hardly moves in normal driving unless the gas is punched. I did find a kink in my line behind my boost gauge but that was fixed. I really thought the boost gauge would move a little more on normal city driving.
