Disable DRL: take out light switch, bend the pin labelled "TFL".

Depending on what car he has.... Yes you can.

I have one, and would be happy to help you out, but I'm a little far.

Thats all fine and dandy but you can still not change any of the things he would like to do with a vag-com, or anything else with programming for that matter. The only way would be to do the drl mod for the lights, pull the led light for for the seatbelt from the cluster and remove some traces from the door lock housing.

Well then it's different. Assumed you had an MK4 becuase you have mk4 stuff for sale.

There are a bunch of people on here who have Vag-coms. Easiest is to come to the monthly meet and just request someone to bring one.

You will need need a Key-com+can or a Hex-com+can if you have a MK5. I don't know anyone in town that has one. Ok I do know one person lol but that is because he manufactures them.
