  • Will these wheels work? Advice appreciated.

I made an impulse buy (because that's what I do) on a set of wheels for the Jetta (2004 TDI), and now I'm questioning if they're going to rub or not.

This is what I know. They are 16", have 5" backspace (same as stock wheels) but are 6.5" wide, I've calculated the offset at ET32. I bolted one on the front and it's pretty close to the fender.

I do plan on lowering the car very slightly when I put the wheels on next spring but only about an 1.5" or so. I've done alot of reading and I think I'll be ok but I know very little about fitting aftermarket wheels and this is not a common setup by far. Before I do powdercoat and tires I'd like to see what everyone thinks.

    Thanks guys!

An offset of ET32 should be fine for your car, you can also look on the back of the wheel and it should give the exact offset to make sure.

Thanks Blair! Unfortunately they are sort of custom made so they aren't stamped with anything, but I trust the calculator I used.

32 is fine. What kind of wheels are they?

I'm keeping that under wraps for now because I'm sure alot of people will think I'm on crack. I want the pictures to speak for themselves (good or bad). I'm really excited though.

Thanks for your help, I'll post pics as soon as I can.
