  • What is this?

    Hey everyone,

So after a long list of repairs done to my good ole Jetta, something else just broke, and I was wondering if anyone might know what it is. It is a steel line that is at the back of the engine it looks like it is coming out of the exhaust manifold and splits into a 'Y', one end goes into an organge cap, and the other goes into what appears to be a sensor of some sort. My room mate and I think it might have to do with an airflow sensor or something. I will post a few pics in a bit. Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,
    Rich

Sounds like the upper o2 sensor, but I'm just taking a guess.

Okay so this pressure line for the o2 sensor, how important is it? What kind of damage can be done if not replaced right away?
