Did you read the install on how to make this gauge yourself? You'd have to have some serious skillz to pull it off.

They sell a kit on I think SPP for Audi S4s similar with more color leds, neat idea but yeah I would never attempt it myself!

Holy crap that looks awesome. I really like that OEM look. Sounds like a bastard to do yourself though.

Heyyy I got a ride in a Passat W8 today. The instrument cluster is amazing! It has chrome rings and a digital display and a nice backing. The speedo even goes up to 300kh/h! From eyballing it it looks pretty much the same shape as my Jetta cluster... I wonder how different the Passat and Jetta clusters really are...

Edit: Naww they are different sizes. Too bad.

you sure the sizes are different, i think they're the same, last time i checked they were. not sure about w8, but i know the regular passats are i believe.

you can get that for your 1.8t, i was gonna get one for a tdi from europe, its around $400, let me know if that interests you. i will try to get exact pricing asap.

300km.. holy crap.. was it the 6spd? I wonder what the gearing dies out at? Our 1.8Ts gear out at like 148-155mph.. damn that would be crazy.. actually i've seen 2 W8 Wagons now.. too bad some dumb granny is driving it..

I did a search on Vortex and I found a post where someone said that the B5 Passats were different sized from the MK4's.

However they looked VERY similar to me. That gauge cluster is MUCH nicer even than the one in Ken's (C1) car. Even if our cars can't get up that high it IS pretty cool to have 300km/h on the gauge.

Ken's car is just a stock North American cluster with ABD trim rings it is not a euro cluster if my memory serves me correctly.
