Just wondering when I should get my 1.8T tuned up. I couldn't find anything on the VW website maintenance page and I don't want to call the dealer just yet. I've heard most new cars are 100,000km but I've seen it done as early as 50,000km on American cars. My car has 61,000km and seems to be running great, burning the same amount of gas, same amount of power and not stumbling. So if you guys could fill me in to when I need a tune up I'll start to save my $$$.

Re: 1.8T Tune UP
I've always followed the VW recommended service schedule, and have had no major failures of anything.
Check out: http://www.vw.ca/vwca/owners/mainten...502,40,00.html
to see their recommended schedule for your car. If the link doesn't work, go to vw.ca and look for Maintenance & Service under the Owners tab.
Now that I know about Tune Dub, I'm hoping George will be able to keep me on schedule at rates far less than I've been paying NL.Jeff

Re: 1.8T Tune UP
look at your owners manual, every 64000 km's is the big one.
you wait any longer you risk a chance of the spark plug's seizing in the head.
and by the way don't cheap out on the spark plugs,if their not bosch
don't get them..waste of cash when the engine lite comes on for misfire.
