Does anyone have a good DIY for changing the springs on my MKIV?

Check the DIY/FAQ thread in the MKIV forum on Vortex.

There are a bunch of DIY's in there.

Thanks, I was looking in the wrong place I guess. The DIY was in the MKIV forum rather than the suspension forum. Go figure. Is an impact wrench a necessity or will an allen key/open end wrench suffice?

i got the strut wrench and hex sockets from metalnerd.com, as well as the splitter that makes front strut removal easier.. but didnt really need an impact gun. Impact works great though, if you have one. Might be able to lend you these couple tools if it would help.

That would be awesome if you could. I'm not planning on doing the install for a couple of weeks, but I'd really appreciate it if I could borrow the tools then. Plus, I'll buy you a case of beer for your troubles!
