  • To clear bra or...

not to clear bra? That is my question right now. I wasn't going to, because I'm not the biggest fan of the look. However, I drive the deerfoot every morning to work, and I already have two large rock chips in my car from last week.

Does a clear bra leave any residue or do any damage if you want to remove it at a later date?

I will never do it again, at least not partial panels. The line IS visible, I don't care what anyone says. However, doing the entire bumper and the entire grill would be nice. I think for the hood you need to do it all or none and just accept you'll repaint it every 3-4 years (cheaper anyway).

I agree with Geoff! DON'T DO IT!

No matter what the manufacturers' claims are, the line is always visible and after 2 years or so it looks like ass.

I'd much rather just respray every 3 years.

        Just my opinion.

same here, just repaint, unless you do an entire body panel, the unprotected parts will get chipped and you have to repaint anyway...

I've been very happy with my clear bra. The only time I can tell its there is when the car is dirty. Which would you rather have, a very small line across your hood that you can only see from certain angles, or a hood thats chipped up and looks like **** that you have to spend $$$ on repainting every 2 years. When I first got my clear bra installed the line kind of bothered me, but once I saw how well it worked, its well worth it. If you keep it clean you don't see it. I've had mine for 2 years and I'll never get another car without it.

you'll find a ton of input if you check out my thread from a few months ago.

I'm too lazy to find it though.

My only real concern moving forward is; Can it be removed fairly easily? Will it do anything to the paint permanently?
