  • Final Tire Decisions.....

    Hey guys...
Just about to purchase some new shoes...should I go with 225 all around or 235 all around? Anybody with 235's have rubbing issues? I have an '02 Jet (see sig) and I'm running the H&R Cup Kit, if that helps. Also, on the same topic, General Exclaims, Toyo T1-R's for $500 more...or BF Goodrich G-Force T/A's also for $500 more than the Exclaims (for all 4)?

With 235s you may rub in the back when you have weight in the car (eg, loaded trunk or people in the back seat). It depends on the size and offset of your wheels.

I can't see much rubbing happening in the back with 235's...a lot of guys put 265's back there...I'm more concerned with the fronts.

I've got 245/18's in the back. 2" drop. No rubbing. Depends on your wheel offest though.

Back would be fine, my fronts rubbed a small amount on hard turns + bump with 235s on 8.5 inch 30mm offset. With the camber kit installed I could run 245 race (wider than street) rubber and no rubbing.
