    Re: BV vs DV

I have a GFB valve from my 2002 GTI, its still sitting in my garage. What made is cool was that it was adjustable. If you wanted it to be 100% DV than it could be adjusted to do so, 50/50, or 100% BOV. If anyone wants it, i'll sell it for a couple cases of beer.

Cars are either designed to be closed or open - VW is closed loop, JDM like Toyota Supras are open.

So blowing air that has already been metered into the atmosphere, when your computer is designed to use that reading for your AF etc fucks up your car. There is no ifs/buts. You can 50% blow off, but you're 50% screwing up the computer.

BV's in VW's cause issues and will set off CEL's as well as cause your car to run like ****. Khyron hit the nail on the head.
