  • 5000k VS 6000k HID's

Hey guys, love the new site btw!

But I was wondering what would be the best for a 2004 Jetta 1.8t. I know that the 5000k are closer to the factory xenon's of 4300k but I was wondering if the 5000k give off the hint of blue you see on BMW's or any car with xenons.

Trying to get close to factory xenon temp but also wanting that tinge of blue in the lights. What would be the better choice in temp?

You aren't using these lights with the stock headlights right.... cause they will look like ballz and blind everyone in front of you. Retro fit some HID projectors or at the very least buy some high-quality halogen projectors if you want these lights

Oh, and yes, they will be blue'ish with the higher 'K' lights

more blueish purple with higher K but less light output which is lame.. also the lens does effect the color of the output to a degree.. 4300k is what you'd really want to get.. they'll look good trust me..

You would choose 5k over 4300k?
I just want a nice light output and that tinge of blue in the distance for other vehicles.

I'm happy with the 4300K, I don't imagine there would be a huge difference between the 2. Go with the 5000K and let us know.

There's a big difference between a halogen projector and a HID projector. FKs etc have halogen projectors and putting HIDs in them makes the beam have hot and cold spots all over. There's a reason drop in kits are all "off road use only". That said, any projector is better than a stock reflector.
