Well now that I have paid off all my books and such I want to get my paint done. I had the name of the shop I wanted to go to but have lost it and cant think of the name for the life of me. They are always at WOW, they had the White Acura and a Green Civic, along with a nice 350Z anyone know the name of the shop?

is that Calgary Coachworks because they wanted WAY to much for what I wanted done. They were telling me 2G for like the hood and bummer and $900 to take the rust out of the roof... which is high I think as most other places have told me $500 for the roof. Hey said to get done the few little things I wanted I was looking at $6000

Well from personal experience, I think a lot of places don't like to do "patchwork" because it's harder for them to do as they have to blend and whatnot.

I think they probably quoted high, I bet they'd re-do the whole car for that just about.

He said they work redo the car for $7 but I dont have $7 and have been told that a respray is never that good... so I am only doing roof, hood and bumper and then getting a power polish. I want to keep it all under $1500.

Well good luck, hopefully you can find a place you'll be happy with. Honestly though, my "patchwork" was the biggest waste of money, I would never do it again. For a little more I could have got most or all of the car done and have it look totally uniform. Honestly, so much labour goes into trying to match it to the old paint it's not a whole lot more.

Just trying to share personal experience, not trying to be difficult.

Haha yeah it is all good... just funny because you were the guy telling me not to do the respray last year.

I have to do the patch work I dont have the money to do a full respray for 6K. As long as the paint looks better then a wax covered hood and grey bumper.

And the name of the shop anyone?

I had my hail damage repaired at Calgary Coachworks. There were a few problems, very minor, that they fixed no questions asked at no charge. It was slightly more expensive, but the work is excellent.

And would screamin paintworks do bodywork too? Like shave my hatch and fix a bunch of dents?
