When it comes to body kits, roof spoilers, etc...what's the best - fiberglass or urethane? May be a stupid question, but I don't know the answer so enlighten me.
it comes down to personal preference. I pefer urethane mainly because of the the durability. If you pull up to close to a curb or hit a hard bump on the road, or go over a speedbump wrong you can break fiberglass parts. However finberglass is lighter. On parts that would not come in contact with the ground it would be better to be fiberglass (ie wings, hatch difusers)
So if you are not worried about the little extra weight that you might get from the Urethane go for that. I also think that the urethane pieces are better made, and thus they tend to cost a little more as well.

But remember that not all fiberglass and urethane is created equal. Like anything else, there's high quality materials and el-cheapo stuff. My Oettinger kit is fiberglass, but it feels freakin bulletproof. I've scraped it, bumped it, and ran into all kinds of stuff (parking blocks, tire on the freeway, a homeless guy ) and no damage other than surface paint.
