  • Remus exhaust from tunerworks...

My friend who drives a mk5 Jetta 2.5 just got a remus exhaust from tunerworks and it sounds incredible.

I was looking to get one for my mk4 golf 2.0 and was wondering on how would it sound.

Would the sound be similar? Does anyone have one installed?

I won't sound the same, the 2.5 is a 5 cyl engine, and the 2.0 is a 4 cyl engine. Thats not to say it will sound bad, lots of us run aftermarket exhaust on the 4's and it sounds great.....Remus is a reputable company, and they build quality products. I have read that remus mufflers run quieter than most aftermarket VW exhausts. You won't sound ricey....

Yea i was thinkin about the size of the engine and didnt think it would be the same outcome.

I just fell in love with my friends exhaust. It sounds deep and has a nice roar to it. It is really what im looking for but i dont wanna get tricked into getting it and thinking its gonna sound good and after the installation and all of that it comes out sounding shitty.

It doesn't even have much to do with size, its the firing order for 5 cylinders will be different than a 4, and will just plain sound different.

On a 2litre NA engine you might want to run a smaller diameter for more backpressure, something around 2.25"
