  • uh oh...dropped something into rear bumper

Ahhhhh dang I knew this was going to happen but I didn't think that it would be a WRENCH that I dropped into the rear bumper.

I am in the procss of installing new tails and as I was tightening one of the bolts on the drivers side tail I dropped my 8mm wrench into the dark hole that I knew would own me today. I knew I would drop something (ie: one of the bolts) but I ended up dropping my freaking wrench.

Any tips/tricks as to how I can get this tool out of there?

Argh that's what I'm reading on vortex right now. Seems like people have lost a TON of tools while removing tails hahah. Damn damn damn.

My 10mm socket mysteriously disappeared after changing my tails. I'm assuming that I made the same bone-head move

All done now. I tied my wrench on a string to my wrist to make sure that I wouldn't make the same mistake again haha.

I did the same thing, just used one of those long bendable magnet strands to pick it up.

One of the first things I learned when messing with cars is to always have one of these....

                    http://www.professionalequipment.com...qx/default.htm

Having said that, I dropped a screwdriver into my engine bay while I was taking out one of my headlights. It landed on the plastic tray dealy underneath the engine and I didn't have my magnet tool. So I had to do quick accelerations up and down the parkade until it fell out lol
