  • Tire pressures

I'm sure that there's a thread or 2 on this, but I'm lazy this morning...

What tire pressures are the 1.8T drivers running for the street/track?

FYI I'm running 35 psi front and back in the city. Just wondering if anyone's doing anything different at the track. Anyone???

        Re: Tire pressures

Track will depend on many many things and vary quite a lot because of them.. temperature, suspension setup (stiffness, geometry), tire size, tire grip, sidewall strength.. blah blah.. But try 45 front and 35 rear for some control of rollover in the front and allow for a bit of rotation in the rear.

I run 34 x 4 corners for normal cruising around - lets the back swing out a bit. Drag, you get better traction dropping to like 22 in the front. Then full on lapping days, the instructors told us to be around 40.
