Latly if noticed in my mk4 gti when shifting into 3rd gear it kinda gets stuck half way, and its either hard to get into gear and takes more effort and time, or i end up grinding it by mistake. any one know what this problem could be? i still have warrantee left on the drivetrain would this be covered if i happin to take it in?

It might be as simple as adjusting your shift linkages. I would think this would in fact be covered by warranty, as long as you haven't installed a short shift kit.

Is the clutch pushed to the floor when you shift?Like Type 2's? Visit my blog!

No not to the foor. i push it the same amount for all the gears but third some times sticks. not every time though.sigpicComment

I find the VW clutch needs to touch the floor, otherwise you're slipping it!

i think mine is pretty darn close to the foor but im not sure if touching. ill have to go for a drive and pay attention to that.sigpicComment
