  • parking my car for 3 months

    I will travel to China for about three months.I don't want leave my car in a public parking lot for that long time.

    Anyone in Edmonton can introduce some longterm security patrolled parking lot?

    and some tips and advices for longterm parking are also welcome

    i'm doing 4 months starting in 2 weeks! i just make sure i have very little fuel in the tank, thats about it.

      It is best to jack the car up on all 4 corners if possible too.
      Or overfill your tires a bit.

            I thought you were supposed to have a full tank, and add some fuel stabalizer to it?

              when i used to park my jetta for the winter i always had a full tank... left the battery connected and it was fine.. i did however take it for a 30km/hr spin around the block on those dry chinook days

                when i parked my car in vancouver, i forgot to disconnect the battery and it was dead within 3 months.

                  Thanks everyone, I just called my dealer, and they said they can looking for a place in their new car storing lot. and will call me back on friday. I think that is good, because it's maximum security there.
