TOYOTA!!!! Wow , thats a first for me!! Anyways, Darcy and I put an order in for a 2007 Toyota FJ cruiser on saturday. We made a deal on a Titanium Silver, base model 6 speed but I've changed my mind to a package B instead. Its a little more cash but has a few cool options. This is basically Darcy's new car! She's never had a new car (or SUV) and has always loved the old FJ40's so we thought this would work out great for her. Having changed my mind on option packages its tough to say when it will arrive but I will know better in the next few days!! Here is a pic of a silver FJ!!

I think they are freakin' cool! I've pdi'ed everyone we have got on the lot. I like the option compass and "positon indicator" on the dash so you know how far you are vertically or horizontly so you don't roll it when your off roading. I just can't convince my wife to sell the Jetta and buy one, she still wants a BMW.

Hopefully it stands up to toyota quality as they are one of the best. How are the blind spots in that thing? From the picture it looks like I would have problems. All in all I would hit it.

Like anything else it will take a bit to get used to the blind spots. They are certainly there however I didn't think they were too bad!

The dealership phoned me today to let me know they secured the base one going to edmonton. It should be here by the first weekend in May!!! I was going to change my mind to get the B package vs base but it would mean July delivery. Which wouldn't be too bad other than my 90 rate protection of 5.95% would be over and I'm sure the rates would have gone up!!

I drove by one the other day and I would say they look pretty good. They have an interesting shape and nice big mirrors
